Shikoku – All 4 Prefectures Tour

Travel Shikoku with our 6 Day Shikoku Island Tour with a local guide and see, experience and do activities that very few travelers have done.


Day 1 (Okayama >> Kagawa)
Arrive JR Okayama station. Catch train from Okayama to Takamatsu station. You walk 15 minutes to Konpira, where you try your hand at making udon noodles and eat the udon for lunch. After lunch you visit the celebrated Konpira Shrine. From Kotohira you take the train to Takamatsu, where you visit the beautiful Ritsurin Garden, one of the three celebrated gardens of Japan. For dinner, you enjoy the local speciality of Kagawa Prefecture, chicken on the bone.

Day 2 (Kagawa >> Tokushima)
After breakfast at your hotel, you take the train to Naruto, and bus to Naruto Tourist Port. Here you board a boat to experience the whirlpools that form in the Inland Sea when the tide changes. Lunch is at Naruto Park. You then take the highway bus to Tokushima and check into your hotel. You can stroll around Tokushima city centre and enjoy Tokushima ramen for dinner. After dinner, you take the cable car to the summit of Mt. Bizan to enjoy the night view, followed by an evening performance of traditional dance at the Awa Odori Hall.

Day 3 (Tokushima)
After breakfast at your hotel, you take the train from Tokushima to Oboke Station, then the bus to the heart of Oboke Gorge. Here you board the Oboke sightseeing boat and enjoy the scenery of this secret region. Lunch is the local speciality of soba and sweetfish. From Oboke, you take the bus to Iya Valley, where you visit the residence of the Heike and experience the vine bridges. You then check into your hotel where you enjoy a Japanese dinner and relax in the outdoor hot spring baths.

Day 4 (Tokushima >> Kochi)
After breakfast at your hotel, you take the bus or hotel shuttle to Oboke Station and travel by train to Kochi and from there by bus to Katsurahama. Here you visit the Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Museum and stroll around Katsurahama. Lunch is a choice of Kochi specialities or a set meal. After returning to Kochi and checking into your hotel, you visit Kochi Castle, followed by a stroll around the Kochi shopping district. Dinner is at the scenic Hirome Market.

Day 5 (Kochi >> Ehime)
Arrive in Matsuyama. Take the Botchan Train to Matsuyama Castle and enjoy the stunning views from

the top of the keep. Visit the Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum, designed by renowned architect Andō Tadao. Then take the tram to Dogo, where you tour  the Dogo Onsen Honkan building including the Imperial bathroom, and stroll down Dogo Onsen shopping arcade. After checking in, you enjoy a relaxing kaiseki dinner in your hotel.

Day 6 (Ehime >> Okayama)
After breakfast at your hotel, you travel to Okayama JR Station.

Cancellation Policy

1) Detailed tour information & conditions will be given after application is made; please read and confirm the final itinerary before the departure date.
2) Reservations: Fill out the application contact form; application is complete upon payment. Reservations accepted by phone, mail, fax, online, or other communicative methods. The contract is not valid at time of reservation; the customer will be asked to submit an application form and payment within 3 days from time of reservation. If application form and payment are not submitted within the term, the reservation shall be considered void.
3) Items not included in tour price: Transportation costs not included in itinerary, optional tour fees, excess baggage fees, any fees of a personal nature (phone bills, meal costs, etc.) Items excluded from the tour will be stated in the tour information.
4) Cancellation fees: When the application is cancelled by the customer or when payment has not been made by the specified date, Ryobi Tours shall receive a percentage of the per person tour fee as a cancellation fee, or a penalty fee. Differences in room charges that result from one person in a group cancelling shall be charged to the participating person(s).
