The most popular beach in Okayama Prefecture hands down, Shibukawa is a wonderful stretch of sand where locals and people across the region come to enjoy the scenic views and resort town atmosphere. Southern Okayama Prefecture has dozens of neighborhood beaches that are completely welcoming to non-residents but Shibukawa is really a beach for the entire prefecture.
Facing the Seto Inland Sea, Shibukawa is a prime spot for sailing and windsurfing as well. Though most people come for the day, there are several fine hotels nearby for visitors hoping to make a weekend of it.
If you want to get the most of outdoor life, camp out at the local site and enjoy the view it offers from the hills above the coast. Explore as much of the Shibukawa area as you can during your stay and later head into central Tamano for more discoveries.
Access: Take the Uno Line to Uno Station. Take a 25 minute bus ride from Uno Station to Shibukawa Beach
