A small group of local fishermen have banded together to form a unique cruise company. The landing dock is just 15 minutes from JR Shin-Kurashiki Station by taxi, and within only 30 minutes you can find yourself exploring the many islands scattered in the Seto Inland Sea.

The captains of each boat have been fishing and touring these waters for over 40 years and know the best locations to visit and experience what this area has to offer.

You can book a cruising tour through Ryobi Tours or make a special request to suit your travel needs. If the weather is not suitable to take the cruise on your designated day, we have alternative tour options within the Tamashima, Yakage, and Soja areas.

About the Area

During your visit to Tamashima, take the opportunity to take in the sights of this historic part of Kurashiki City. Start at the flower-lined promenade along the Tamekawa River and make your way past the locks and riverside homes.

Relax and enjoy the sounds singing birds in lovely Tamekawa Park. A great place to bring the kids, there are large and colorful jungle gyms and other equipment for them to play on. Walk above the park’s marshland on an elevated platform to truly appreciate the landscape.

Located in the Kashiwajima area, Tamashima Minato Park is another one of Tamashima’s fabulous public open spaces where you can treat yourself to both harbor and sea views.

The park features a 760 meter walking course and exercise equipment for children and adults. There is also a wide multi-purpose space that is suitable for light sporting activities. At lunchtime, put a blanket down and have a picnic on the lawn.

Stroll along the white sands of Sami Beach on the Tamashima Coast and if you happen to be there during the summer feel free to have a swim.
