Kibi Plaza is the de facto commercial and political center of Kibichu Town. Within the large complex are a host of shops, a bank, government offices, restaurants, eateries and even a resort hotel. In you are in town and in need of something, it is the place to go. If you happen to arrive in the evening, there is a well-stocked convenience store.

There is in fact, as wide circular plaza outside the main facility that gives it its name. Its circular shape and elevated walkway are incredibly pleasing to the eye. Beyond the plaza is a playground and an expansive park filled with pavilions and benches where you can enjoy a picnic or a simple stroll.

From 8am-11am on the second Sunday of March, May, July, September and November, there is a morning market held at Kibichuo Town’s Kibi Plaza. You are sure to find some of the most delectable highland fare in the prefecture. Farm fresh fruit and vegetables as well as dairy products make up a large portion of the goods on display but there is so much more.

There are locally produced craft items and a flea market section where you might come across some one of a kind antiques. The best thing about the market is its friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Access: Take the Hakubi Line from JR Okayama Station to JR Takahashi Station. Take the Rehabiri/Yoshikawa bound bus from the Takahashi Bus Center to the Kibi Plaza bus stop.

About the Area

Kibichuo Town is a located within the Chugoku Mountains and is comprised of fertile highland farmland and expansive forests. Its natural scenic beauty has long attracted the attention of visitors from around the country and in recent years, international travelers have followed suit.

Easily accessible from both Okayama Station and Okayama Airport, Kibichuo Town is the perfect getaway.

Cancellation Policy

1) Detailed tour information & conditions will be given after application is made; please read and confirm the final itinerary before the departure date.
2) Reservations: Fill out the application contact form; application is complete upon payment. Reservations accepted by phone, mail, fax, online, or other communicative methods. The contract is not valid at time of reservation; the customer will be asked to submit an application form and payment within 3 days from time of reservation. If application form and payment are not submitted within the term, the reservation shall be considered void.
3) Items not included in tour price: Transportation costs not included in itinerary, optional tour fees, excess baggage fees, any fees of a personal nature (phone bills, meal costs, etc.) Items excluded from the tour will be stated in the tour information.
4) Cancellation fees: When the application is cancelled by the customer or when payment has not been made by the specified date, Ryobi Tours shall receive a percentage of the per person tour fee as a cancellation fee, or a penalty fee. Differences in room charges that result from one person in a group cancelling shall be charged to the participating person(s).
